Egypt’s New Cabinet held its first weekly meeting today، Wednesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister، Moustafa Madbouly.

During their meeting، Madbouly expressed his appreciations towards former Prime Minister، Sherif Ismail and his government on their patriotic sincere efforts during the last period.

Moreover، Madbouly stressed that the former government had accomplished a lot of achievements، and took important decisive decisions that could not be delayed، especially in terms of economic reform.

Meanwhile، PM welcomed new ministers، stressing that the New Cabinet is determined to continue reform efforts at all levels، follow-up development plans and programs، in addition to the completion of major national projects in their scheduled times، in order to achieve the desired objectives of comprehensive development throughout the country.

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi has appointed Mostafa Madbouly، as the country's new prime minister، two days after outgoing Prime Minister Sherif Ismail submitted his resignation and that of his cabinet.

Ismail submitted his resignation two days after President El-Sisi was officially sworn in as the head of state for a second term until 2022.

The move came in line with a political tradition that the cabinet should resign at the beginning of a new presidential term.
