Egypt`s national team`s coach، Hector Cuper has decided to cancel the Pharaohs` training، which was scheduled for Wednesday. This was after the mission returns to the Chechen capital، Grozny، the team residence in Russia.
The Pharaohs lost to host Russia 3-1 on Tuesday in their second match. The team is almost out of the world cup، as the opportunity to qualify for the second round is impossible.
The technical team decided to cancel the training، which was scheduled to be held at 7 pm at the "Ahmed Arena" to rest the players، with only muscle exercises in the gym at the residence.
It worth to mention that Egypt coach Hector Cuper believes that his side was unfortunate not to get a positive result in Tuesday’s 3-1 defeat to Russia.
The Pharaohs desperately needed the victory against the hosts at Saint Petersburg Stadium in order to keep qualification ambitions alive، but Ahmed Fathi's own goal plus strikes from Denis Cheryshev and Artem Dzyuba put them on the verge of an early exit.
Cuper during the post-match conference said luck was against his team as they got punished for the ‘few minutes’ they made.
“I don’t think it was lack of concentration، we did make mistakes and were not good at defending، but we had a really good first half،” said Cuper.
