A huge fire broke out on Thursday in El Tebbin power plant, in Cairo governorate, leaving one killed and three others injured.
Firefighters came immediately to the scene and managed to put out the fire، which covered the skies of the area and caused panic among the people.
The injured were transferred to a hospital for treatment.
The security forces under the supervision of Major General Mohamed Mansour، Director of the Capital Investigation Department، conducted an inspection، upon which was discovered that the fire destroyed the station properties and caused power outages in the area.
The Public Prosecutor's Office assigned the crime laboratory to find out the reasons behind the fire.
Noteworthy، Last April، a big fire has swept through the under-construction Conference Building at the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in Giza.
No casualties have yet been reported. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
10 fire engines have been deployed to the scene to contain the situation.
After the opening، the Grand Egyptian Museum، located between modern Cairo and the Giza pyramids، will contain more than 100،000 artefacts covering 3،000 years of Egyptian history.
Described as the largest archaeological museum in the world، it covers 491،000 square meters، and is located two kilometers away from the Giza pyramids.
