Elissa to perform at Bizerte International Festival in Tunisia

Lebanese recording artist، Elissa will perform at the 36th edition of the Bizerte International Festival، held in Bizerte town، Tunisia، on August 14.

The festival، which runs from July 12 to August 17، will witness the performances of Algerian singer Souad Massi، who will perform on July 16، and Syrian singer Nassif Zeytoun، who is performing on July 28.

On the other hand، it is scheduled for Tunisian superstar، Saber Ribai to conclude the festival on August 17.

The concert comes after a period of absence from singing in Tunisia.

On the other hand، Elissa is putting the final touches to her new album، which is set for release in August.

On May 25، Elissa announced that she would postpone her forthcoming album due to the World Cup.

Elissa was due to release her album during Eid al-Fitr holidays but decided to postpone because of the preoccupation of the Arab public with the World Cup، especially since there are a number of Arab football teams qualified for the World Cup such as Egypt and Morocco.

In the new album، she cooperates with a large number of Poets and composers including Amir Teima، Ramy Gamal، Nader Abdallah، and Walid Said.

Elissa announced back in 2017 a new album after two years from releasing album "Saharna Ya Leil".

Noteworthy، Elissar Zakaria Khoury، mostly known as Elissa، is a Lebanese recording artist. She is known as “Queen of Emotions” and as “Queen of Romance".

Elissa was born in 1972، to a Lebanese father (Zakaria Khoury) and a Syrian mother (Youmna Suud). She was raised in the Beqaa valley with 5 siblings.

She graduated from the Lebanese University with a degree in Political Science. After graduating she decided to pursue a professional career on the stage and in music.

She achieved moderate success in Lebanon before moving to Cairo at the turn of the new century where she succeeded greatly and established herself as one of the great singing voice of the Arab World.

Elissa was the highest-selling female Middle Eastern artist for 2005، 2006 and 2010.

In 2005، 2006، and 2010، she received the World Music Award for Best Selling Middle Eastern Artist، and became first Lebanese singer to receive the World Music Award for Best Selling Middle Eastern Artist in 2006. She has currently sold over 30 million albums worldwide.

Elissa is also among one of the richest celebrities in Lebanon، with a reported estimated wealth of over $41 million.

As of 2017، Elissa has well over 43 million followers on social media.

Elissa recently judged The Voice season 4، along with Ahlam، Assi El-Hellani، Mohamed Hamaki.
