PM inspects the Grand Egyptian Museum

Prime Minister Housing Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly، recently inspected the development works of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).

Madbouly toured the GEM restoration labs and warehouses in the presence of Antiquities Minister، the head of Armed Forces Engineering Authority Major General Kamel Al- Wazir، Governor of Giza and a number of officials responsible for the implementation of the project.

GEM project is the most important event in the world of archeology world during the 21st century. It is the largest cultural and international project currently being implemented. It is designed to serve as a gateway through time to join a civilization of 500 years with modern civilization.

GEM has total area of about 491 thousand square meters. The building covers about 168 thousand square meters. It includes 100 thousand Artifacts to be exhibited to the world for the first time. GEM accommodates 15 thousand visitors a day.

The state will put this museum on its investment map. GEM has 28 shops ranging from 124 square meters to 570 square meters. It includes a shopping arcade، a kiosks area to display souvenirs، fast food and drinks، a 30-room hotel، restaurant and health club. The hotel overlooks a privileged place to ensure the comfort and well-being of guests.
