Egypt`s Cabinet congratulated on Sunday First Vice-President of the Supreme Constitutional Court Dr. Hanafi Ali Gebaly، after being unanimously elected by the General Assembly of the Court as President of the Supreme Constitutional Court. Gebaly will assume his new post on August 1.
In an official statement, the cabinet expressed its appreciation to the Chancellor Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek Hassan، who ended his presidency of the Supreme Constitutional Court، for his sincere efforts during his tenure.
Meanwhile, The cabinet wished the new President of the Constitutional Court success and progress in the performance of his duties.
Noteworthy، Hanafy Ali Gebaly was born on 14 July 1949. He had Bachelor's degree in Law from Cairo University with a very good grade. He had got Master's degree and PHD in common law from Ain Shams University.
In October 1982, Jibali was appointed as a judicial assistant at the Commissioner of Supreme Constitutional Court, and then got promoted in 1988 to a judge at the commissioner. In 1996, He was elected the head of the commissioner. In the period between 2001 and 2004, he assumed the post of a deputy to the head of the Supreme Constitutional Court.
He was seconded to work as an advisory judge at the Bahraini Constitutional Court in 2004 and as a judicial expert to Qatar in 1988.
