Egyptian Silicon Industries Co. (SICO) announced today the first Egyptian-made Egyptian tablet "SICO Express 3". The tablet made by 45% percentage of local manufacturing.
The head of SICO Egypt، Eng. Mohamed Salem said earlier that the Egyptian tablet was manufactured in the technological zone in Assiut، with a percentage of local manufacturing up to 45%.
Salem pointed out that the production of about 10 thousand tablets has been begun to be officially launched in the market within two weeks at a price of about 1149 pounds.
President Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi supports the strategy of the electronics industry and localization of the local product. He received the first copy of the Egyptian telephone at last December. The phone was successful in the market and was exported to the UAE markets and it is being exported to Kuwait and some African countries.
