Late renowned actor، Medhat Morsi body arrived at Al-Farouk mosque in Maadi to perform the funeral prayers.

A large number of celebrities attended the funeral prayer including، Mohamed Al Shakankeery، Hazem Samir، head of the Theatrical Professions Syndicate، Actor Ashraf Zaki، Mohamed Abo Dawood, Fadrah، and others.

On Thursday، Director Ahmed Medhat announced that the funeral of his father، Medhat Morsi will be held on tomorrow، Friday after Friday prayers from Al-Farouk mosque، in Maadi.

The actor will be buried in the family cemetery in El-Basatin.

Morsi had passed away Thursday morning at the age of 69، his son screenwriter Ayman Medhat announced on his Facebook account.

“My father actor Medhat Morsi is in god hands،” He wrote.

Many of his friends had offered their concordances over the death of his father.


His last artistic work was 2015’s TV series “Zarf Aswad” (The Black Envelope).

Zarf Aswad co-starring Amr Youssef، Dorra، Salah Abdallah، Mahmoud El Bezawy، Engy Al-Moqaddem، Mohamed Mamdouh، Medhat Morsi، Mohamed Saed El Amrosy، and others.

The series is written by Ahmed Medhat، and Ayman Medhat، and directed by Ahmed Medhat.

The plot revolves a man who can see the future before it even happened.

He co-starred in more than 154 artistic works.

Medhat Morsi ( 1949-2018)

Medhat Morsi was an Egyptian actor. He was born on December 19، 1947 in Beheira governorate.

He graduated from Alexandria University from the Faculty of Agriculture in 1971 after obtaining a bachelor's degree، and later on، he obtained a postgraduate education degree from the same university.

After getting his degree، he made his way to Radio Alexandria، where he worked and co-starrted in a prominent radio series “Arabic language: the language of the world”.

He acted in many prominent films and TV series including، “Nos Arnab”، “Etnein Ala El Tareeq”، “Al-Maraa Al-Hadidiya”، “Ghadan Tatafatah Al-Zehour”، “Al-Liqaa Al-Thani”، and others.
