A 1-year-old girl is able to hear for the first time thanks to a cochlear implant. The moment was captured on video where the toddler is able to hear her mother's voice while she read to her، as Technical Times said.
Ayla Esler's parents، Anna and Will Esler، discovered that their daughter could not hear during her newborn exams. The couple began working with a specialist but also prepared themselves for what life would be like with a child who can't hear.
Ayla's parents learned that she was eligible to receive the cochlear implants and were hopeful their daughter would be to hear again. In May 2018، Ayla underwent the surgery to have implants placed in her ear. Since Ayla has gotten the implants، she has been happily adjusting to being able to finally hear، but her parents state that there are still some ahead.
The Doctors at the Cook Children's Health Care System recorded Ayla's first time hearing sound after the four hour surgery was conducted. The 26-second-clip showed Ayla's mother Anna، holding her while she read to her daughter، and Ayla، who's CI's were activated، responding by shaking her head from side to side and cooing.
