Security forces managed to return Al-Shorouq city kidnapped boy after being abducted for 6 days by a gang.
The boys’ case have stirred up the public opinion over the past few days and quickly became a trending hashtag across social media، with people expressing anger at the criminals and sympathy for the family.
Al-Shorouk city police received a notification July 3 that a child named Samy Hesham Fayez was kidnapped by a black car with dark windows while he was inside the car of his mother’s friend، who was picking him up from the nursery.
The police succeeded in identifying the kidnappers’ place through checking the surveillance Cameras at the incident’s site، and tracking down phones call between the boy’s grandfather and the kidnappers asking for $100،000 as ransom to release the child.
The child's family thanked the interior ministry and police forces for their efforts and for responding to their report quickly.
In a press statements, The Child's Grandfather stressed “Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfik has promised to return my grandson safely، and he kept his word”
He also expressed his thanks to President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi for restoring security and safety in Egypt in a record Time.
In an official statement issued after the releasing of the kidnapped boy، The interior Ministry said “The National Security sector، General Security and Cairo Security Directorate have united their efforts to identify the abductors and spot their location
“After legalizing the procedures، the security forces، cooperating with the Special Operations Forces، managed to identify the child’s place and return him safely to his family”، The Ministry added.
“The forces arrested the seven perpetrators from an apartment at Boulaq al-Dakrour in Giza، in possession of weapons and the car used in the child kidnapping” the statement reads”
They also added that abductors are being interrogated by the concerned apparatuses.
