Egypt’s Trade and Industry Minister Amr Nassar said Egyptian non-petroleum exports achieved a remarkable increase estimated at 14% registering $ 12.75 billion in the first six months of 2018 against $ 11.215 billion in the same period in 2017.
Egypt's non-petroleum exports to the EU markets rose by 18% to register $ 3.657 billion in six months against $ 3.096 billion in the corresponding same period of 2017، the minister said in a statement.
Egyptian exports to the Arab markets increased by five percent to hit 4.779 billion dollars against 4.540 billion dollars، he added.
Also، Egypt's exports to the US went up by 11 percent to stand at 705 million dollars against 637 million in 2017.
Meanwhile، head of the General Authority for Export and Import Ismail Gabr said the UAE is the biggest importer of Egyptian products in the first half of 2018 with exports valued at a total of 1.3 billion dollars to be followed by Turkey، Italy، Saudi Arabia and the US.
