Dr Ahmed Mamdouh، Secretary of Fattwa at the Egyptian Dar El Ifta، said that some Islamic traditions especially Muslims’ prayers resemble ones of the previous nations.
He added that either prayer should not go with in all details of those rites of the precedent nations.
Dr Mamdouh revealed during an interview with an anchor of “Al Nass” Space Channel، aired today، Monday، that experts find resemblance between prayers engraved in some of the Pharaonic obelisks and mass prayers of the Muslims.
The Ancient Egyptians use water for cleansing before prayer.
This tradition is the same in Islam.
He affirmed that all prophets were Muslims as they embrace monotheism in its wider meaning.
