Industry and Trade Minister Eng. Amr Nassar held a series of meetings with trade and industry ministers participating in the 20th the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) summit، which ended Friday in Zambia capital Lusaka.
Nassar began his talks with، Ugandan government Commerce، Industry and Cooperatives Minister Amelia Kyambadde. They discussed the future of industrial، commercial and investment cooperation between the two countries. They also reviewed a number of economic files of common concern.
Nassar explained that the meeting reviewed the importance of establishing an Egyptian-Ugandan business council which will contribute in enhancing trade and investment cooperation between the two countries' business communities. The council will make the efforts of the two countries` governmentsto enhance joint economic cooperation between the two sides in order to establish a concrete investment projects benefiting the Egyptian and Ugandan economies.
He added that the talks also discussed the project of establishing an Egyptian logistic center in Uganda، in addition to the permanent Egyptian exhibition to be held on the sidelines of the center.
He continued saying that the meeting reviewed the results of the Egyptian-Ugandan Joint Committee`s meeting which was held in Cairo recently.
