Sudan is proud of its support for the Palestinian situation since ancient times. Sudan participated in 1948 war and issued a law criminalizing any dealings with the Zionist entity in 1957. It also rejected the recent American decision of moving US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem، said the Sudanese National Assembly` Speaker، Ibrahim Ahmed Omer.
This came in his speech during the Arab parliaments' Speakers` emergency session. It is hosted by the Egypt House of Representatives today، within the 28th extraordinary session of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union.
Omar stressed that Palestine situation remains a central issue for Arabs. He added that the Zionist entity continues to commit murder amid Arab reactions. They are planning for a dangerous conspiracy aimed at limiting this issue away Arabs` attention.
He continued saying that in parallel with these moves، the US has defied the law and international legitimacy by its recent decision of the embassy. He pointed out that it chose to be part of the problem، losing its role of the honest mediator in the peace process.
Omar pointed out that there is a great international rejection of this situation، and the Arabs should exploit this and confront the occupation state and expose it to the world.
He stressed the need for the Arabs to have a working program against the Israeli occupation and the American administration.
