EGX announces Monday، July 23، as an official holiday

The Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) has announced that the coming day of Monday، July 23، will be an official holiday on the anniversary of July 23 revolution.

The EGX is set to resume trading on Tuesday July 24، according to an official statement issued on Saturday.

Meanwhile، the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced that banks will be off on July 24 as well.

Noteworthy that، July 23 revolution took place in 1952 by the Free Officers Movement، a group of army officers led by Mohammed Naguib and Gamal Abdel Nasser، aiming at overthrowing King Farouk.

The last official holiday for EGX and CBE was Sunday، July 1، on the occasion of June 30 revolution.
