Social media platform Instagram just got a little brighter after Egyptian actress Hala Shiha has joined it. 

Hala، 39، shared her first three snaps today، Thursday، and also issued a statement via Instagram Stories stating that this is her official account and that she is not responsible for any released statement from any other accounts. 

She decided days ago to take off her veil and resume her acting career after an absence of almost 12 years، after thinking for a long time.

She released a press statement stressing that she will resume her acting career and that she has a great interest in this direction but has not yet defined her destination.

The actress announced in 2006 her retirement from acting and wearing the veil after co-starring in several blockbuster films such as “Lembi”، “Oredo Kholaan”، “Aaris Men Geha Amnya”، and others.

She surprised her audience at the time with the withdrawal from acting and wearing the veil.

Her last artistic work was 2006 film “Kamel El Awsaf” (Mr. Perfect)، during which she co-starred in the film with her veil.

During her retirement، she partook in Charity work and preaching in Islam (Dawah) before wearing niqab.

Noteworthy، Hala Ahmed Shiha، known as Hala Shiha، is a retired Egyptian actress. She isborn on February 23، 1979 in Cairo، Egypt، to an international acclaimed painter Ahmed Shiha، and a Lebanese mother who is also an artist.

She is the eldest out of four daughters، her sister is well-known actress، Hana Shiha.

She is best known for portraying the main roles in The Ladder and The Snake، and Lost in America. She officially retired from the entertainment industry in the 2005، after she decided to start wearing the hijab. The following year، she made a brief comeback to star in a role with her hijab.
