Industry، Trade and Small Industries Minister Eng. Amr Nassar stressed the government's keenness to promote Egyptian-Chinese economic cooperation in the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries during the current stage.
He pointed out the importance of pumping more Chinese investments into the Egyptian market. China is ranked No. 21 among foreign countries invested in Egypt.
The Minister stressed the importance of reforming the Egyptian import system and focusing on importing technology products to serve the economic growth in Egypt. He pointed out the importance of coordination with the Chinese side to establish joint Egyptian-Chinese investment projects in a number of countries. Especially in East and West Africa، especially as the Chinese financial institutions carry out distinct programs for commercial and investment projects aimed at African markets.
Nassar pointed out to the importance of taking advantage of China's orientations to move its industries outside its territory، especially as it seeks to transfer some industries to North African countries due to its proximity to the European market.
He added that the Chinese industries with its trademark in Egypt will be able to easily access the European market.
