Hundreds of Chinese Muslims have demonstrated in China to protest against the government's decision to demolish the Great Mosque of Fueko in the western province of Ningxia.
Authorities pretended that Muslims did not have advanced proper official approvals.

The demonstrators rejected the authorities' decision to demolish the mosque.
They raised slogans such as "We will not let the government touch the mosque.
It is worth to mention that China has about 23 million Muslims.
Islam is the religion of majority of population in the western province.
Chinese officials last week sent a formal warning to residents of the area that the mosque would be demolished by force.
They claimed that because it did not get the necessary approvals for its design and construction.
Many questioned why the authorities did not stop construction of the mosque from the start.
