Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi greeted on Monday the Egyptian people and all Muslims in the Arab and Islamic world on the occasion of Al-Mawlid al-Nabi “Birth of Prophet”.
Al-Sisi spoke during an event held to celebrate Al-Mawlid Al-Nabawy; the Prophet Muhammad's birthday. The event was organised by the Ministry of Endowments and attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly، Al-Azhar's Grand Imam Ahmed El-Tayeb، Grand Mufti Shawki Allam and a number of ministers and Arab ambassadors.
Al-Sisi said that Islam's message promotes peaceful coexistence between human beings and the right to life without discrimination based on color or race.
"Our noble religion has taught us that there is no compulsion in religion and it establishes the values of tolerance and acceptance،" Al-Sisi said.
Noteworthy، Mawlid al-Nabi، the Birthday of the Prophet، is a holiday in the religious tradition of Islam، one of the world's largest religions، according to encyclopedia.
Mawlid al-Nabi celebrates the birth of the Prophet Muhammad، the founder of Islam. Born in Mecca on August 20، 570 C. E.، he was a shepherd and a trader who began to receive revelations from God when he was forty years old.
