COMESA’s strategy aims to empower women economically in Africa، official

COMESA Business Council President Amani Asfour said on Monday that the council pays more attention to economically empower African women.

In an interview with Sada El-Balad TV satellite channel، she added that the council is keen to discuss and meet all challenges facing women in the labor market.

She added that the COMESA’s strategy aims at empowering women economically and enhancing their own capacities، stressing that she called on heads of state and government to allocate a specific quota for women in government positions.

She explained that she had developed a strategy for the economic empowerment of women in all countries of the African continent.
Africa 2018 business forum concluded its events yesterday، Sunday، as African youth and leaders gathered to exchange views on the future of the Dark Continent.

Noteworthy، the forum was held under the theme of " Bold Leadership and Collective Commitment: Advancing Intra-African Investments."

The forum was organized by Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) Regional Investment Agency in cooperation with Egypt’s Ministry of Investment، under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi.
