WhatsApp set to stop working on more than a BILLION phones - is yours on the list?

WHATSAPP is set to stop working on more than a BILLION phones from December 31st - here's how to find out if yours is on the list، the sun reported.

Customers ringing in 2019 could be less than happy with being cut off from the popular service - especially as they wander around trying to locate each other in the wee hours.
Last year Nokia Symbian S60 phones became incompatible for WhatsApp، and the same was announced for Nokia S40 handsets.

Nokia S40 is an operating system which was phased out in 2014 - but is installed in more than 1.5 billion phones.

Whatsapp also plans to stop support for all iPhones running iOS 7 by February 1، 2020.

The app will also no longer work on devices running Android 2.3.7 and older after February 1، 2020.

In a blog post، the messenger giant wrote: "This was a tough decision for us to make، but the right one in order to give people better ways to keep in touch with friends، family، and loved ones using WhatsApp".

Whatsapp was founded in 2009 and has since become a giant of the messenger industry، with users sending around 38billion messages a day.
