Two people were killed and at least five others injured as a result of a car explosion in the western Iraqi city of al-Qaim، a source in the Iraqi security services told Sputnik Friday، UrduPoint News reported.
"According to preliminary data، two people were killed and five were injured in the explosion of a car loaded with explosives in the city of al-Qaim،" a source said.
Iraqi security services' press service reported that the attack took place close to a market and left one person killed and 16 more injured. According to the Iraqi Health Ministry، at least 25 people were injured.
No terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. Al-Qaim، located in western province of Anbar، was one of the last liberated areas during the Iraqi military's operation against the Islamic State terrorist group (banned in Russia) in 2017.
