The US Federal Government entered the 22nd day of shutdown on Saturday، making it the longest shutdown in American history، NPR reported.
800،000 federal workers were not paid this month، causing strain on families across the country.
The shutdown is the result of a standoff between US President Donald Trump and congressional Democrats over the construction of a border wall between Mexico and the United States.
