Ambassador Ibrahim Al Shweemy، Former-assistant of Foreign Minister، said that all French presidents showed deep interest in Egypt’s antiquities. Those presidents were keen on sightseeing the amazing the Egyptian antiquities. He pointed out that there many professors of Egyptology in the French universities. Ambassador Al Shweemy made clear during an interview with anchor of “ Sabahal Masry” program، aired today on “ mbc” Satellite Channel، that Sheikh Rifa'a al-Tahtawi، an Egyptian writer and historian، went to France in 1882، during Mohamed Ali Pacha’s era، to quote the French culture. He went on to say that France’s President Emanuel Macron head for Aswan accompanied with prominent figures. He also met with a host of Egyptian artists and intellectuals ahead of launching 2019 year of Egyptian –French culture.
