Arab states need $ 75 billion to cope with climate change: Expert

Dr Mahmud Abu Zied، Former Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources، said that the Arab Council of Water held its first meeting to cope with climate change over the coming period.
He warned that changes in the world’s climate affect negatively productivity of crops.
He pointed out that a number of representatives of regional and international agencies along with officials of private sectors appeared in that meeting.
That meeting handled a program drawn by experts، time table and mechanisms.
He revealed that the Arab countries are classifies among the most states affected by dangers of climate change across the world.
He warned that climate change is shown in draught، storms and floods in various Arab states ( such as Kuwait and Sudan).
