Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will arrive this evening in the Saudi capital، Riyadh، for a two-day visit and meet King Salman bin Abdul Aziz.
Ambassador of Palestine to Saudi Arabia Bassam Al-Agha said the two leaders will discuss the current political situation and the dangers facing the Palestinian issue، especially the city of Jerusalem، the Palestinian news agency "WAFA،” reported.
He pointed out that Saudi Arabia is always stands with Palestine، recalling the donation of $ 150 million to the Islamic Endowments in Jerusalem and $ 50 million to UNRWA in Gaza.
Ambassador Al-Agha revealed that King Salman told Abbas: "We are with you. We accept what you accept and reject what you reject. We are with peace and international legitimacy، and support the Arab peace initiative from A to Z."
He pointed out that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has repeatedly affirmed his conviction that there is no peace in the region without a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Abbas concluded a visit to the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa yesterday after attending the African Union's regular summit.
