Giving to the strong relationship between Egypt and African organizations، and after a successful visit to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi to the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa; Egypt seeks to increase the strength of these relationships.
Spokesman of Egyptian Presidency، Ambassador Bassam Radi، said President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met on Tuesday morning African Development Bank President Akinwumi Adesina.
Radi added that Al-Sisi welcomed the growing cooperation relations between Egypt and the African Development Bank، expressing appreciation for the Bank's role in supporting development sectors in the continent.
Al-Sisi also affirmed Egypt's aspiration to continue and increase the volume of cooperation with the Bank in the coming period in various developmental fields، most notably renewable energy projects، infrastructure، transport and communications.
The Egyptian president also stressed Egypt's interest in enhancing cooperation with the bank to push forward the regional integration initiatives، economic integration process and inter-African projects.
For his part، Adesina praised the continued improvement in the performance of the Egyptian economy during the recent period after the economic reform program.
Adesina pointed out to the interest of the Bank in promoting continental economic integration and financing cross-border projects.
