Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese stressed that Egypt enjoys a special status throughout history، in addition to its distinguished geographical location between the Red Sea and Mediterranean Sea.
He added that Egypt is the most country mentioned in the Bible.
"The Egyptian people has learned tranquility from the Nile River، and learned fraternity and love since its early civilizations،" said Pope Tawadros، during his speech at the British University in Cairo's symposium entitled "Love and Tolerance” in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa، Minister of Awqaf.
The Pope said that Egypt is a beautiful art form، adding our country is the cradle of several civilizations، including Pharaonic، Islamic، Christian، African، Arab and Mediterranean. He pointed out that Egypt has a special status among all countries of the world.
He said that humans have many psychological، mental، spiritual and emotional needs، explaining that no one can survive without love، pointing out that the family constitutes the first school to teach love and that everyone who dragged in joining terrorist groups has never tasted love.
