Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Monday met with Ireland’s Minister of State for Trade Pat Breen، as part of his visit to the Irish capital، Dublin، where they discussed ways to boost economic and trade relations between the two countries.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman، Ahmed Hafez، said that Shoukry reviewed the promising opportunities offered by the Egyptian market to Irish companies، especially in light of the comprehensive economic reform program implemented by the Egyptian government، as well as the mega projects being carried out in Egypt.
In this vein، the foreign minister stressed the importance of working up to increase economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
For his part، the Irish Minister of State for Trade stressed his country's keenness to enhance economic and trade cooperation with Egypt، pointing out to his recent visit at the head of a delegation of Irish investment and business institutions and businessmen to Egypt in December 2018.
He pointed out that a new commercial mission will be sent to Egypt soon in order to find out investment opportunities available to Irish companies in various Egyptian economic sectors.
