The 1st regional conference of general prosecutors and attorneys of The Middle East and North Africa is being held in Cairo under the auspices of Egypt’s president، Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi.
About 41 countries and international organizations take part in the conference.
During the inauguration of the conference، the head of the United Nations Mission on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)، Hatem Aly said that the United Nations (UN) considers combating terrorism as an urgent need, adding world countries should cooperate to fight it.
"If there is no funding for these organizations، there will be no terrorism in the world and they will not be able to get the weapons used to destroy peoples and societies"، added Hatem Aly added
He expressed hopes for more arrangements that allow public prosecutors in North Africa and the Middle East to continue as a single body against crimes that threaten communities.
