Former Parliament Speaker، Fatehy Sorour thanked Egyptian-European Business council chairman، Prominent Businessman، Mohamed Abul Enein، on his invitation to attend the dialogue session related to the constitutional amendments.
In his word before the session، Sorour said،” I had no hesitation in accepting the invitation despite being a criminal law professor not a constitutional one”، noting that the constitution should express the popular will.
“Some people confine the constitutional amendments in the article related to presidential term only،” Sorour said، stressing that a 4-year term is not enough for a president to fulfill his plan.
Noteworthy، Egyptian-European Business Council under the chairmanship of Prominent Businessman، Mohamed Abul Enein holds on Wednesday a dialogue session on the proposed constitutional amendments.
A number of jurists، constitutional law professors، parties’ heads، members of parliament (MPs)، as well as a number of public figures، thinkers and council members attend the session.
This session comes in the framework of the Egyptian-European Business council’s keenness to take part in the public discussion on these amendments، and the importance of educating public opinion about its content through jurists، and specialists’ opinions، yet the people of Egypt will have the last word.
