The Central Agency of Public Mobilization and Statics (CAPMS) has issued a statement on the International Day of Water which has been set by the United Nations ( UN) since 1992. This year’s celebration focuses on how to achieve sustainable development in the whole world by 2030. It is worth to mention that the Nile River is main source of fresh water in Egypt. Egypt’s annual quota of the Nile’s water is 55.5 cubic billion meters. This quantity is estimated at 69.4% of Egypt’s whole sources of fresh water in 2016-2017. Rain، torrents، ground water، recycled waste water and desalinated sea water harvest together some 24.5 cubic billion meters in that year mentioned above. Those sources grew by 18.1% in one year. The report revealed that agriculture consumes 76.7% of fresh water in Egypt every year.
