The Iraqi police said that at least 40 people drowned today in Tigris River as their tourist ferry broke and went under water next Mosul in the northern part of Iraq. Al Hurrah” Space Channel mentioned that most of drowned people were children and women. River police are still attempting to snatch bodies and alive people. It is worth to mention that more 100 persons boarded that ill-starred ferry. Experts warn that number of the victims may rise as water drifts people off the scene.
