The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE)، on behalf of the Ministry of Finance، is set to issue LE 17 billion in treasury bills on Sunday، March 24.
The T-bills will be offered in two installments; the first installment is valued at LE 8.5 billion with a 91-day term and the second is worth LE 8.5 billion with a 266-day term.
T-bills are issued every Sunday and Thursday.
The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) cut the overnight deposit rate and the overnight lending rate at 15.75 percent and 16.75 percent، respectively، during 2019's first meeting.

The first touristic trip by a clean energy cruise ship sailed Saturday evening in the Nile between Egypt and Sudan، MENA news agency reported.
On its journey between Egypt and Sudan، the ship passed through Lake Nasser.
Moustafa Amer، deputy chairman of the Nile Valley Authority for River Navigation، told MENA that the ship is headed from Lake Nasser to Wadi Halfa in northern Sudan.
Amer said the trip is scheduled to arrive at the port of Wadi Halfa on 27 March، confirming that the newly launched 4-level cruise ship is powered by clean wind energy.

An Egyptian student named Ramy Shehata، 13، has succeeded in rescuing 51 Italian student kidnapped in Italy by Senegalese driver who threatened to shoot the students or set fire to the bus.
Once the driver kidnapped the bus he took the students' phones; Ramy secretly contacted his father and asked him to inform the police. The police forces hurried to the scene and arrested the kidnapper at once.

The Supreme Council for Media Regulation (SCMR) on Friday criticized the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) for hosting Yasser al-Omda، a member of Egypt’s terror list، who commented on local affairs. Omda’s name was added to terrorist figures’ lists in 2018.
“The UK network has made a huge mistake،” said Egypt’s Supreme Council for Media Regulation in a statement.
