President Abd Al Fattah Al Sisi received on Monday "Ignazio Cassis" Swiss Foreign Minister in the presence of Switzerland’s Ambassador in Cairo. The President expressed Egypt's aspiration to enhance bilateral relations in various fields، and boost consultations on regional and international issues of mutual interest. Presidency spokesperson Bassam Rady said. The President also pointed out to the positive developments witnessed by the Egyptian economy during the recent period and the successes achieved by the comprehensive economic reform program. He pointed out to the importance of working on increasing Swiss investments in Egypt، as well as the importance of increasing the volume of trade exchange. Meanwhile، the Swiss foreign minister praised the Egyptian-Swiss relations، stressing his country's keenness to push forward and develop frameworks of cooperation with Egypt in various fields، especially the economic one. During the meeting، a number of regional and international issues of common concern were discussed. The president pointed out to the Egyptian efforts to achieve Palestinian reconciliation. The meeting also discussed Egypt's efforts to combat terrorism. The President stressed the necessity of concerted efforts by the international community to confront terrorism.
