Confederation of African Football (CAF) decided to delay Al Ahly’s game against Sundowns in the quarterfinals of Champions League.
The game was delayed to April 6، after it was set for April 5.
Noteworthy، Al Ahly’s football director، Sayed Abdelhafiz، said he would be in contact with the CAF to delay the first leg between Ahly and Sun Downs for 24 hours.
Abdelhafiz said in an official statement that Al-Ahly would ask to postpone the game for one day due to the difficulties in finding a flight and because the team will play against Ittihad of Alexandria in the Egyptian league on 2 April.
Al Ahly faces Sundowns in the quarterfinals of CAF Champions League.
The Reds booked their place in the knockout stages after winning Group D.
Meanwhile، Sundowns secured their place in the last eight after finishing second in Group A behind Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca.
The first leg will be held in South Africa.
CAF also set April 12 for the second leg in Cairo.
