Mark Greene، Director of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)، said that opening project of reducing water ground under temple of Kom Ombo in Aswan Governorate، some 1000 south to Cairo، is a historic moment for the whole world not for Egypt only. He expressed amazement and admiration at what he saw inside the temple where the old and sequent civilizations mingled together. He affirmed that this project protects the temple against ground water. It benefits the world by keeping the heritage of Ancient Egypt. Greene assured that the USA funds projects of restoring other monuments across Egypt. The USA funds those projects with $ 100 million.
