Egyptian Community in The United States of America (USA) resumes its preparations to receive Egypt’s President Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi، who is set to arrive in Washington tomorrow, Monday (Cairo Local Time) at the invitation of his American Counterpart، Donald Trump.
Egyptian-American Cultural Clun headed by Eng. Tarek Suliman، and The Coptic Organization headed by Eng. Adel Ageib organized a supportive vigil in New York before heading to Washington.
Holding Egyptian flags، Egyptian expats chanted، “We love Egypt، we support Egypt، we support Egyptian Army، we support Al-Sisi.”
According to a statement issued by the Egyptian Cultural Club، the visit comes as part of a series of meetings between the two presidents to strengthen the partnership between Egypt and the United States، and achieve the strategic interests of both countries.
Noteworthy، President Sisi will meet with US President Donald Trump in the White House on April 9.
Sisi’s visit to Washington comes upon Trump’s invitation to discuss bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern، said presidential spokesperson Bassam Radi.
The White House announced in a statement that the meeting comes in light of the continuing cooperation between both countries on economic، military and counter-terrorism levels.
“The two leaders will also discuss developments and shared priorities in the region، including enhancing regional economic integration and addressing ongoing conflicts، and Egypt’s longstanding role as a lynchpin of regional stability،” the statement read.
