Egypt’s Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouli held a meeting today Monday with the Chairman and members of the Arab Federation of Exchanges (AFE)، in the presence of Mohamed Farid Saleh، head of the Egyptian Stock Exchange، and Nandini Sukumar، the Chief Executive Officer of the World Federation of Exchanges.
The meeting was alsp attended by Minister of Finance Dr. Mohamed Maait and Public Sector Minister Hesham Tawfiq.
The meeting comes within the framework of the Prime Minister’s keenness to meet with the Arab stock exchanges’ heads، who are currently in Cairo for the meetings of the 10th conference of the Arab Federation of Exchanges (AFE).
The meeting aims to highlight Egypt’s support to the efforts of cooperation and integration among Arab stock exchanges، thus contributing to the promotion of development efforts in the Arab region.
During the meeting، the Prime Minister stressed the importance of strengthening coordination and integration among the Arab stock exchanges، especially in light of the pivotal role played by exchanges and financial markets in the world economy.
The event is expected to bring together heads and representatives of 16 Arab stock exchanges، more than 500 investment experts، and managers of funds from both Arab and world markets.
The conference is a chance and platform to share expertise and tackle common issues of mutual interest، AFE president Fadi Khalaf said.
