Egypt’s President، Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi left Cairo earlier today، Wednesday، heading to China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart، Xi Jinping to take part in participate in the Belt and Road forum in China’s capital of Beijing from April 25 to 27، among presidents and senior officials from some 40 countries.
Al-Sisi’s participation in the forum comes within the framework of the comprehensive strategic relations between Egypt and China، Presidency spokesman، Ambassador، Bassam Rady stated.
On the sidelines of the forum، President Sisi is expected to hold talks with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping and will also meet the Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang، along with the chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Wang Yang، Rady added.
The visit is expected to see the signing of agreements and memorandums on joint cooperation between Cairo and Beijing.
Moreover، Al-Sisi will hold meetings with heads of states and governments to enhance bilateral cooperation and exchange views concerning important regional and international issues of common interests.
