Egypt’s president، Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi met on Friday with a number of prominent Chinese businessmen in Beijing، presidency spokesman، Ambassador، Bassam Rady said.

At the outset of the meeting، president al-Sisi welcomed the Chinese businessmen، pointing out to the depth and strength of the strategic relations between Egypt and China، a matter which reflected through his frequent visits to China and his meetings with President "Xi Jinping"، that contributes to boosting bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Moreover، Al-Sisi assured the state’s keenness to overcome all obstacles that may face Chinese companies in Egypt to enhance economic and trade cooperation with them، develop joint investments to benefit from the available opportunities، and to increase Chinese investments in Egypt.

Additionally، Al-Sisi praised China's development experience describing it as “a distinctive economic model” based on maximizing the role of knowledge and technological innovation، noting that he seeks to benefit from this experience in Egypt through intensifying cooperation with Chinese companies.

In addition، The President affirmed that Egypt's development priorities fit with the "Belt and Road" initiative goals announced by the Chinese President، which aim at enhancing trade and economic cooperation among the initiative countries، including Egypt، and enhancing coordination among them. In this context، he referred to the role of the Suez Canal as well as the ports network that has been developed and implemented in Egypt.

On the other hand، The Chinese businessmen expressed their admiration for the positive achievements witnessed by Egypt، stressing that they are keen to enhance cooperation with Egypt to achieve joint interests.
