Dr Salawa Abdel Aziz، Professor of Economics at Cairo University، said that high rate of unemployment was a crisis in Egypt before the government head to introduce a package of economic reforms over the last few years. She added that unemployment has negatives shadows on economy، society and politics. She went on to say during an interview with anchor of “Sabah El Khair ya Misr” program aired on Monday on Channel 1 News of the state-run TV، that unemployment rose in Egypt as result of missing stability and security following Revolution of January 25th. Many factories were shut down then. Also Egypt lost advantages of gravitating investors after months of turmoil following toppling of ex-president Hosni Mubarak in 2011. She assured that economic reforms aim to slashing unemployment among people.
