The Central Agency of Public Mobilization and Statics (CAPMS) issued a statement today to mark the International Day of Families comes every year on May 14. The United Nations (UN) declared that day in 1993 to increase awareness of families across the world. The UN calls on all states and governments to raise the standard of living of families to play a more positive role in development in developed and developing countries. Report of the CAPMS revealed that Egypt houses more than 24.3 million families in 2019. Some 10.8 million families live in the urban districts in the Delta، Cairo and Upper Egypt. This number represents about 44.3 % of whole families in Egypt. About 13.5 million families live in the rural areas. This number represents 55.7% of the families in Egypt.
