The Interior Ministry has beefed up its security measures ahead of Sunday’s most awaited clash between Egypt’s giant of Al Zamalek and Morocco’s Renaissance Sportive de Berkane (Nahdat Berkane) in the CAF Confederation Cup second leg final.
The two squads meet on the pitch of Borg El Arab Stadium at 10:00 pm (Cairo local time).
Around 60،000 tickets have been sold for the match، and a huge turnout of fans is expected to attend.
Security forces are spread out across all roads to the stadium، and at its entrances to prevent any kind of chaos.
At the same time، the Ministry of Health has set a health insurance plan for the match، the spokesman of the Ministry of Health and Population Khalid Mujahid said in a statement on Sunday.
In Morocco last week، Zamalek was moments away from picking up a crucial draw which would leave them needing just a win in the second leg with home advantage.
However، in the dying embers of the game Kodjo Fo Doh Laba gave RS Berkane a lead which sets up an intriguing second leg، as the Moroccans will have to defend for their lives while Zamalek go all out attack on home soil.
