A huge number of Zamalek fans flocked to streets to celebrate their team’s victory of the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in their history after beating RSB Berkane of Morocco 5-3 on penalties.
Zamalek has been crowned CAF Confederation Cup champions following a penalty victory over Morocco’s RS Berkane on Sunday.
The Whites suffered a 1-0 defeat in Morocco، when meant that they have to win by a two-goal margin in order to secure the title.
This becomes the club’s first continental title since 2002 when they beat Morocco’s Raja Casablanca in the final of the CAF Champions League.
This also marks the second time that an Egyptian side managed to win the Confederation Cup after Al Ahly’s triumph in 2014.
