Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi received today Wednesday General Mohamed Zaki، Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production، said official spokesman for the presidency Bassam Rady.

Al Sisi also attends today the inauguration of Anti-Corruption forum (AACF).

2- Mohamed Salah joins Egypt training camp ahead of AFCON 2019

Liverpool’s winger Mohamed Salah has finally joined Egypt national team’s training camp ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Pharaohs have started their camp three days ago as they prepare for 2019 AFCON، hosted by Egypt، which will take place between 21st June to 19th of July.

According to reports، Salah could feature in today’s training session، but will not make the squad which will face Tanzania in a friendly on Thursday’s night.

However، he will be available for Egypt’s final test against Guinea on Sunday، June 16 at Borg El-Arab stadium in Alexandria.

Egypt will kick off their AFCON campaign on the 21st of June by facing Zimbabwe in group A، before facing DR Congo and Uganda on June 26 and June 30 respectively.

3- Egypt hosts inauguration of AACF

President abdel Al Fattah Al Sisi attends on Wednesday the inauguration of Anti-Corruption forum (AACF).

Sharm al Sheikh city hosts African Anti-Corruption forum (AACF)، today، Wednesday، under the auspices of Egypt’s President، Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi.

President Al-Sisi will give a word before the forum during the inaugural session. 

The AACF will witness the participation of ministers of justice and interior as well as the chairpersons of anti-corruption authorities، auditing institutions and illicit gains authorities. Over 200 senior officials from regional and international institutions will also participate.

It is scheduled that 51 African countries will take part in the forum، including; Tunisia، Morocco، Libya، Algeria، Angola، Burkina Faso and others. 

Saudi Arabia، the United Arab Emirates، Jordan and Kuwait will be guests of honour in the AACF.

The two-day conference aims at encouraging African countries to adopt policies، programmes and work plans that contribute to the eradication of corruption and to establish a knowledge linkage base between different regions of the continent on the risks of corruption and its severe negative effect on development. 

The forum will address several topics including the continental and national efforts conducted by African countries in accordance with their international and regional commitments، the relationship between corruption and development، capacity building and human resources، the role of civil society and the private sector، and how to enhance African inter-governmental coordination in combating corruption.
