Egypt’s coach Aguirre holds a press conference ahead of AFCON

Coach of Egypt’s first national football team، Javier Aguirre، held a press conference this afternoon to talk about preparation of the Pharaohs ahead of African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The conference was held at the Hall of Conferences of Cairo International Stadium.

Noteworthy، Egypt won the right to host 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

CAF President Ahmad Ahmad signed the contract with EFA President Hany Abu Rida، as the championship scheduled runs from June 21 to July 19.

Sixteen members of the CAF executive office voted for Egypt، while South Africa received a shy vote.

For the first time، twenty four national teams will participate in the tournament.

The African Nations Cup is scheduled to witness the participation of 24 teams in a first-ever event in the history of African football، where participation was always limited to only 16 teams.
