Mawazine festival
Established in 2001، under the High Patronage of His Majesty The King Mohammed VI، and organized by Maroc Cultures Association، according to festival mawazine.

Mawazine is the must-attend get-together of amateurs and music enthusiasts، as evidenced by the number of attendees averaging upwards of two million spectators per year، over the last few years.

As a privileged moment of discovery and sharing، the festival brings together top-notch names in Arab، African، and international music، as well as the best artists on the Moroccan scene.

In this respect، Mawazine represents a genuine springboard for musicians and singers in Morocco، notably the members of the younger generations.

As a pre-eminent cultural event، the festival also promotes the Kingdom’s values and upholds a message of tolerance، openness، respect and dialogue.

It is also consistent with the logic of sustaining the local economic fabric، by enhancing the activities of tourism professionals and fostering the development of the national music and entertainment industry.

True to its founding principles and calling، Mawazine also makes a major contribution to the democratization of culture in Morocco، by providing every year، free access to 90% of the shows and concerts.

This commitment has enabled the festival to attract as many as 2.5 million spectators over the last few years and to rank as the second major World music festival and the first major festival on the African continent.
