Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry stressed the depth of the Egypt-Russia historical relations that are based mutual respect and common interest.
During Shoukry’s interview with Russia Today TV channel on the sidelines of his current visit to Moscow to attend 2 + 2 meeting between Egyptian and Russian foreign and defense ministers، he said that his current visit to Moscow comes within regular visits to enhance comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
He added that the visit aims to push bilateral relations forward and enhance coordination with regard to the international situation، especially in the Middle East region.
The Foreign Minister affirmed the consensus reached between Egypt and Russia to develop bilateral relations and address the current napping crises in the Middle East.
He added that coordination and exchange of views between the two countries is ongoing to address all crises of common concern.
Shoukry pointed out that whenever there is further consensus between a super-power country like Russia and a great regional country like Egypt، this will contribute to enhancing the world safety and stability.
