The new Land Rover Defender has been one of the most talked about and eagerly anticipated new models to come out in a long time—and it isn't even out yet. Over the past nearly ten years we've seen two different concepts، have been subjected to years of speculation and changing information، and have seen many spy photos of the real thing، and have finally gotten confirmation that it will be sold in the United States. Up until now، though، the only photos that have emerged are of the outside of the car with it covered in camouflage، but today we may have gotten our first look at the new Defender's interior، AS THE Car News said. The image (above)، which was posted by a jewelry designer on Twitter and has since been deleted in response to a tweet about an unrelated car، seems like it shows a styling mockup for the Defender's final، production-ready interior. (Meaning، a full-scale model created by designers out of materials like foam and plastic to finalize a design without producing the real thing.) Some key details point to this being the case: None of the buttons or controls، like the ones on the steering wheel or center console، have any icons or writing on them. The gas and brake pedals look concept-car-like، with "stop" and "go" stamped on them; that's designer frippery that wouldn't make it onto a production car. Another tell is the extremely poor material quality. The "leather" looks more like vinyl، and the "metal" trim on the steering wheel and dashboard looks more like plastic.
